Photo Album   Buda Reformed Church
The Református templom stands tall on the bank of the Duna river crowned by a beautiful example of Zsolnay roof tiles. Often missed by tourists because of the Matthias Church on the hillside above, the Buda Reformed Church is a breathtaking example of Brick Gothic and 19th century Neogothic architectural styles.

Located at Szilágyi Dezsõ tér in a small park next to the main road of Fõ utca, the church was designed by Samu Pecz (1854-1922) and consecrated on Palm Sunday in 1896 by bishop Károly Szász (1829-1905). The church floor plan is based on a pentagonal shape with buttress supports separated by high lancet windows around the outside and gorgeous periodic architectural symmetry lines.
